PURPOSE OF FUNCTION

We do this by optimizing our sales priorities, commercial activities and ensuring the right forecasts for our total offer. Our main responsibilities are developing and executing sales steering, selling the IKEA way, range grouping, pricing, range management and launches. This ensures an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience, which leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To secure a positive shopping experience for our customers by offering home furnishing knowledge and design expertise in the IKEA store for those that request it and need it for complete home or business projects. Create relevant, aesthetic and commercial interior decorating solutions that have an impact on IKEA's vision as the market leader's home brand. To maximize sales in all areas of my responsibility using specialist knowledge of the range, local market, and customers. Utilize IKEA systems knowledge and specialist selling ability to actively develop sales and service skills of co-workers. To maximize sales through strong partnerships of the Commercial Team. Support the efficient easy buying process of complex IKEA systems or products.
Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in homes and businesses that reflect the IKEA identity.
Actively contribute in the gathering of insights and translating this knowledge into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic and commercial solutions that exceed customer expectations and reflect home furnishing the IKEA way.
Secure high quality, simlicity, efficienct and cost conscious when planning and impolementing all design solutions using global tools and best practices.
Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing, retailing and trends in order to contribute in planning sessions and to generate creative ideas.
Respect routines and responsibilities, work together with Sales, Com&In, Logistics, Services and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results.
Coordinate stock availability, picking, delivery, assembly and payment for purchases.
Contact new potential customers and follow up on our existing customers to help sell the plan Utilize specialist system and product knowledge to assist customers buying complex product systems and solutions.
Work with multiple customers to coach them while using IKEA planning tools and providing specialist planning knowledge, helping to provide a good planning experience.
Convey passion about IKEA products & services and actively learn about their features and benefits, and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
ESSENTIAL FOR A PARTICULAR JOB:
An education in interior design.
Visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics.
Ability to generate new ideas and concepts.
A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home and at work.
Able to draw, visualise and present ideas.
Ability to work in a fast retail environment.
Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team.
Good attention to detail.
Practical hands-on approach to work.
Good communication skills in english, written and verbal.
Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AytoCad, Revit, Excel, Word) Good interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organisational and customer service skills.
