We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager – Services (Professional Services & IT, Marketing, Facility Management services) to join our IKEA India team in Bangalore.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • To be responsible to lead, coach and develop a team who works to secure best buy for all services categories by using the IMS purchase process and tools. 
  • To prepare, and implement the purchases according to the IMS purchase process, category direction and specified standards, by optimizing the efficiency in the supply chain.

 In addition, the Procurement Manager is responsible for managing and developing supplier relations, ensuring that all suppliers fulfill IKEA’s requirements.

ASSIGNMENT:

  • Recruit, lead, and develop the purchasers for Service Categories, in line with the IKEA processes.
  • Secure training and growth by empowering and supporting co-workers on the job through the Performance & Development process to strengthen co-worker motivation and combine each person’s needs and wishes with the needs of IKEA.
  • Create a great place to work and develop the ways of working with IKEA IMS purchasing.
  • Responsible for securing the purchasing of indirect products and ensuring the purchase is in compliance of IWAY, Code of Conduct and other IKEA policies and guidelines.
  • Secure and improve good relationship and cooperation with suppliers, stakeholders and users (choose the target groups that are relevant for the position)
  • Cooperate and contribute with the Range & Supply organisation to create new ways of working and solutions for IKEA and IKEA IMS.
  • Plan and secure the cost, (sales) budget and value contribution goals for the (area/function) Together with the IKEA IMS management team secure the development of the IKEA IMS organization.
  • Ensure that the purchasing is in accordance with IMS purchase concept purchasing guidelines to secure low cost and enable competitive pricing at all times (together with the Purchasing Manager).
  • Secure and carry out product area strategy and improve the running business.
  • Contribute to the growth of business through people, according to IKEA strategies.
  • Lead by example in accordance with the Leadership capabilities, IKEA Concept and IKEA values to promote the IKEA Culture
  • Spot and grow talents within the organisation to secure succession planning

•In addition, execute purchaser tasks including:

  • Analyze potential for savings via supplier consolidation. 
  • Set evaluation and negotiation strategy.
  • Lead resources allocated to conduct the purchase within a product area until contract is signed, to achieve goals and stakeholders requests/demands.
  • Evaluate and implement saving potential during the sourcing process, and securing the purchase process.
  • Ensure eSourcing is used in the best way.
  • Ensure the IKEA Way of doing business including Code of Conduct.
  • Secure legal compliance, contract structure and content.  Make contract available to involved parties.
  • Follow/use IMS purchase concept, incl. process tools, policies and routines.
  • Monitor the market in the given product area, as well as goals and measurements in accordance to the business plan.

COMPETENCES:

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

  • 3 or more years of successful IMS purchasing experince, with a strong knowledge in IKEA IMS purchasing
  • Good knowledge of IKEA purchasing processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of industrial production conditions, including relevant materials.
  • Good knowledge of cost drivers, structures and calculation.
  • Possess negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of handling quality and IWAY issues in a supplier relation.
  • Understanding of the IKEA strategic landscape
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
