We are currently looking for a Food Quality Engineer to join our IKEA India team in Bangalore

 

PURPOSE OF FUNCTION:

Contribute to growth by increasing quality of the range and the total quality perception of IKEA Food

 

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Secure all product quality related issues within a given range.

 

ASSIGNMENT:

  • Clarify product specification with suppliers and stakeholders, and secure compliance of specification in production process.

  • Secure that product quality requirements are fulfilled.

  • Continuously contribute to the development of IKEA Food business.

  • Initiate and lead quality improvement projects.

  • Act proactively to prevent quality deviations and initiate adequate actions when deviations occur.

  • Create product risk assessments.

  • Follow up on customer experienced quality perception and initiate actions when needed.

  • Secure supplier compliance to food safety requirements.

  • Secure suppliers produce and sell according to local laws and regulations, e.g. permits/certifications.

 

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

  • Work experience from Quality in the food industry/business, fresh and frozen industry experience preferred.

  • Knowledge around food safety, quality and laws & standards.

  • Very good knowledge of production processes and technologies.

  • Knowledge of audit and assessment techniques and analysis of suppliers working methods and performance

  • University degree in the area of food.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • Lead by example in accordance with the Leadership capabilities, IKEA Concept and IKEA values to promote the IKEA Culture.

  • Energy, drive and commitment to deliver better products and services for our stakeholders, users and the many people

  • Interest and drive to find common interests and agenda, to build trust and partnership to reach common goals.

  • Genuinely interested in understanding the reality of production and continuous improvements

  • Act with a sense of urgency without compromising quality

  • Passion in Food business.
