We are currently looking for a Goods Flow Team Leaders to join our IKEA India team in Mumbai: Receiving, Replenishment, Warehousing

To contribute to a great meeting with the customer in all sales channels by ensuring a consistently high availability of our offer, with high quality and at lowest possible total cost.



To manage and support colleagues under my responsibility in the goods flow team in order to coordinate and optimise goods flow operations in the store. This will result in agreed product availability for customers and the correct quality of the goods flow process in the store at the lowest possible costs.


  • Influence and lead the goods flow team in order to contribute to the highest stock availability for customers at the lowest possible cost every day by ensuring the store goods flow process is executed correctly.

  • Contribute with relevant goods flow input and feedback to the store business plan and logistics action plan.

  • Work actively with and implement the agreed logistics actions stated by the store business plan into the goods flow process.

  • Influence positively the quality of products, merchandising and customer shopping experience in the store.

  • Provide support in identifing and developing the many talents in the goods flow team to secure succession planning.

  • Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and living IKEA culture that inspires extraordinary achievements in the store and in the goods flow team specifically.

  • Secure that the work of the goods flow team complies with the IKEA code of conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and environment.

  • Ensure efficient daily goods flow operations in the role's area of responsibility according to the Global Service Protocol. This includes the counting process, ready-by-opening and minimising wait times at merchandise pick up.




  • Understanding of budget, cost and key performance indicators and how to use them to plan, follow up and steer the business.

  • Analytical and numerical skills.

  • Skilled in creating an efficient and cost-effective commercial performance.

  • Understand and actively use all IKEA manuals, specifically the In-store Logistics the IKEA Way manual to build additional competence.

  • Skilled in retail and/or logistics processes, tools and working methods.

  • Sound understanding of the IKEA Code of Conduct, as well as regulations and legislation relating to health, safety and security.

  • Ability to lead based on performing and delivering while learning and developing.

  • Ability to build trust and communicate in a clear and targeted way with different people in various situations.

  • Ability to manage a high-volume and vibrant retail environment.

  • Ability to make things happen with flexibility, speed and simplicity.

  • Ability to work during early and the late hours of the day.


  • Experience of working in a retail and/or logistics role.

  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.

  • Ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and give open and honest feedback.

  • Business-minded with a clear customer focus.

  • Ability to meet agreed budgets and goals, work on plans.
